Class schedule available below.
Ballerina Maria Sascha Khan comes from a family of artists. Her and her three siblings are all classical ballet dancers. Born in rural Montana, USA, and having absolutely no history or background of dance in the family, they have gone on to international careers at the top of their field around the world.
Trained under Luidmila Morkovina at the Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington DC, and the Academie de Danse Classique de Princesse Grace, Monte Carlo. She graduated top of her class and with honours under the mentorship of the Academie’s Russian directress Marika Besobrasova. Maria Sascha attended Royal Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet and American Ballet Theatre summer programs on scholarship.
Her graduate year, Maria Sascha joined the Staatsballett Berlin under the direction of Vladimir Malakhov, ranked one of the top five companies in the world. Performing a wide repertoire of both classical and contemporary works she continued her career with the Bayerisches Staatsballett, Munich, English National Ballet, London and as a Principal Dancer with the Ekaterinburg State Ballet, Russia.
Currently based in London as an international guest artist she is developing the new full length ballet “Warrior of Light” featuring her and her three siblings. An excerpt of the ballet recently premiered as a highlight of the prestigious Russian Icons Gala, London Coliseum and will premiere in full in 2019. The ballet is based on the life of Russian painter Nicholas Roerich who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Nicholas MacKay trained at both the prestigious Vaganova and the Bolshoi Ballet Academies. He is the youngest American to ever attend the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. He has attended summer schools at The Royal Ballet School and the Princesse Grace Academy, Monaco. While still a student, he has performed with the Mariinsky, Bolshoi and Mikhailovsky Ballet Companies, toured Brussels and Berlin as a professional dancer in The Nutcracker, and in the original cast of the Bolshoi Ballet world premiere of Moidodyr. A talented photographer, he has gained recent accolades with his work for Project Polunin, the Russell James and Victoria’s Secret show, Dance Open Festival, Vladimir Vassiliev, the Vaganova Ballet Academy, Sobaka Magazine and Grishko. He also choreographed Warrior of Light ballet excerpt.
Nicholas has trained and lived in Russia since the age of nine, and along with his brother Julian, is fluent in the Russian language. His main inspiration is his French bulldog Leo who is affectionately known in St. Petersburg as “Theatre Dog”.
