Coined Asian-influenced haute cuisine, Kayuputi Restaurant, fine beachfront dining, is a beacon of the culinary scene in Bali. Contemporary cuisine from quality ingredients, with an emphasis on authentic preparation which retains the dish’s intrinsic complexity, and a modern presentation, is the mantra of the day when Executive Sous Chef Agung Gede approaches the menu at Kayuputi. Integrating Asian flavours and classic Western influences, we offer Wagyu beef from Australia and seafood from local waters as well as imported specialties like fish from Japan. A selection of Sturia and Prunier caviar and oysters varies according to season. From Oysters and Champagne for lunch to a luxurious eight course degustation menu, Chef Gede’s menu also includes delectable vegetarian selections and a variety of organic produce. Our resort’s five-time Wine Spectator award winner German Sommelier, Harald Wiesmann, together with his two junior sommeliers, are pleased to consult with guests on wine selections to make that perfect match with the menu.
The name Kayuputi means white wood in Indonesian. With a vision of white, its decor is perfectly modern with an elegant backdrop of the Indian Ocean. Al fresco seating comes with a soft ocean breeze and an unobstructed panoramic ocean view. Guests may reserve private cabanas for dining, or settle into a soft white cushion inside the high-ceilinged restaurant where a two-storey wine cellar and a grand open kitchen add to the ambiance. An intimate bar, the Kayuputi Champagne Bar, in the restaurant beckons with soft white sofas, offering evening cocktails before dinner. After dinner, enjoy the option of fine cigars from an elegant humidor.
